Hi, I’m Krystal, Centre Director at Community Kids Haven Hillside.
I’ve worked in early childhood education for 17 years, starting at age 17, and have held roles from Assistant Educator to Kindergarten Teacher and Educational Leader.
I believe every child is unique and deserves to be respected and understood. I’m passionate about creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn.
I strongly believe that children learn best through social interactions — talking, collaborating, and exploring with others to make sense of the world around them.
My son has been attending CKHS since August 2023 and he was 13 months. From the first time we went to visit CKHS till this day we have always felt welcomed. All the staff and management have been so kind, caring, supportive and encouraging not just to my son but to my husband and I too. My son always comes home so happy. The program is great as it is full of both play based learning and intentional teaching. The meals are yummy and very nutritious which my son enjoys. I highly recommend CKHS!
My family has been part of Community kids haven for almost 6 Years know, with my eldest daughter first attending back in 2019 and my youngest daughter being in her last year of kinder now. The girls share great bonds with the educators. They enjoy there time in the centre, learning so much along the way, not only in the way of academics but In a social aspect as well.

Both my kids attend here, and I can't speak more highly of Community Kids Haven't Hillside and the educators. All the kids are known by name by every educator and the care and time they put into each child is second to none.
We have been apart of the CKH Hillside community for 6 years now with my two children attending (son currently attending). We truly are appreciative for the most humble care and compassion the team have not only given to my children but to myself as a parent. The program provided and communication from the team is quite impressive where I feel connected, and enjoy reading all the fun learning that’s taking place. My daughter went here for 2 years and she loved absolutely every bit of it! All the carers are lovely and paid great attention to detail! Everytime I picked her up, she would tell me about her day and how much she loved her carers!! If I hadn't have moved homes, I'd continue with this childcare.
