ABOUT US
Community Kids Haven Ardeer is a childcare and early learning centre situated in-between the Albion and Deer Park area, tucked away on a service road on Ballarat Rd. Our care and teaching approach incorporate the Reggio Emilia philosophy. At the core of this philosophy is an assumption that children form their own personality during the early years of development and that they are endowed with “a hundred languages”, through which they can express their ideas. Children engage in a variety of learning using a large range of resources including recycled materials, wooden blocks and loose parts. The children participate in an indoor/outdoor curriculum that is based on the children’s interests.

Our Center Director
Hola Ardeer community!
My name is Ana, and I am the Centre Director at Community Kids Haven Ardeer since we opened on the 12th of July, 2021. I have worked in the Early Learning Sector for 30 years, starting as an assistant and working my way up to Centre Director. I am a proud mother of three daughters and an abuela (grandmother) of five beautiful grandchildren I adore.
I strongly believe it takes a village to support, extend, and develop a child’s full potential. Acknowledging how children perceive and engage with the world around them and connecting their experiences and surroundings with the Early Years Learning Framework’s five Learning Outcomes, Principles, and Practices is essential.
My vision is for my team to offer programs suitable for children’s development, enabling them to acquire skills and knowledge while maintaining good physical and mental health. I am committed to leading a team that brings various skills, knowledge, and understanding related to their unique cultural experiences.
I will mentor our team to be ongoing learners, developing pedagogical skills to embrace the children under our care, their families and our community.
We will work together as a strong and committed team, with each member performing their best.
